What happened in Brampton in April 2026

Brampton recorded 406 sales in April 2026, 1.9% fewer than the same month a year earlier. Sellers brought 1,401 new listings to market, leaving 1,960 properties in inventory — 11.3% less than a year ago. At the month's pace of sales that is 5.4 months of supply, which puts Brampton in a buyer's market. 30% of the month's new listings sold.

The average sale price across all property types was $885,936, down 6.2% year over year and down 0.7% on the month. Detached homes averaged $1,018,564 against $421,376 for condo apartments — the gap that decides which side of the $1.5 million insured-financing cap a purchase here falls on.

What this means if you're buying in Brampton

Market conditions shape the negotiation; your income, debts and the stress test decide what you can actually borrow.
