What happened in Brampton in October 2024

Brampton recorded 498 sales in October 2024, 47.3% more than the same month a year earlier. Sellers brought 1,196 new listings to market, leaving 1,805 properties in inventory — 25.6% more than a year ago. At the month's pace of sales that is 3.2 months of supply, which puts Brampton in a balanced market. 38% of the month's new listings sold.

The average sale price across all property types was $1,019,645, up 2.0% year over year and down 1.5% on the month. Detached homes averaged $1,183,059 against $534,175 for condo apartments — the gap that decides which side of the $1.5 million insured-financing cap a purchase here falls on.

What this means if you're buying in Brampton
