The average sale price in the Greater Toronto Area in September 2024 was $1,107,291, down 1.1% year over year. 4,996 homes sold against 18,089 new listings — 3.4 months of supply, a balanced market.
What happened in September 2024
Toronto recorded 4,996 sales in September 2024, 7.6% more than the same month a year earlier. Sellers brought 18,089 new listings to market, leaving 25,612 properties in inventory — 35.4% more than a year ago. At the month's pace of sales that is 3.4 months of supply, which puts Toronto in a balanced market. 39% of the month's new listings sold.
The average sale price across all property types was $1,107,291, down 1.1% year over year and up 3.1% on the month. By property type, semi-detached homes were the strongest year over year at -0.3%, and row / townhouse the weakest at -5.8%.
